Como en un western, la fuerza del film esta en el silencio espléndido de los paisajes mapuches del sur argentino. Durante sus trashumancias, la ternura de Don Ernaldo, sus hijos y sus hermanos, es arañada por los alambrados hostiles, tendidos con fines de economía rentable, que desprecia y asimila siempre los nativos a los pobres. Ellos organizan su supervivencia entre modernidad y necesaria resistencia. As in a western, the strength of the film lies in the splendid silence of the Mapuche landscapes of southern Argentina. During his transhumance, the tenderness of Don Ernaldo, his children and his siblings, is scratched by the hostile barbed wire, laid for profitable economic purposes, which the natives always despise and assimilate to the poor. They organize their survival between modernity and necessary resistance.
